The organisers of The National Running Conference in partnership with Running Imp have confirmed that the CEO EMEA of global sports and lifestyle brand ASICS, Alistair Cameron, will be speaking at the event on Friday 18th January 2019 at Birmingham’s NEC.
Mr Cameron will be running the 13:45-14:15 session on the day, titled ‘Brand: Building and Maintaining a Global Brand’. Within this session he will be discussing key points including product and technology development, effective communication, supporting emerging communities, relationships with consumers and what the future holds.
Experienced British executive Alistair Cameron joined ASICS in 2009 following a successful international career spanning brands including Speedo, New Balance and Clarks. With ASICS the market leader in performance, Cameron’s mission was to strengthen the brand’s performance and lifestyle offering and deliver ambitious growth targets in the EMEA region.
Under his leadership ASICS has undergone rapid growth, doubling sales in the region between 2010 – 2015, and he has overseen a cross-business transformation plan in 2018 to strengthen the organisation and deliver sustainable growth for the future. Cameron is a keen runner and a strong believer in ASICS’ founding philosophy of ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’.
